Grady Millar of Mountain View golf is the Week 6 prep athlete of the week

Grady Millar of Mountain View boys golf is the The Columbian 2024 Week 6 high school athlete of the week sponsored by Killer Burger.

Millar received 510 of 1,413 votes to win the honor. The senior shot a 1-under-par 143 for 36 holes to win his fourth consecutive 3A district title.

Nominees are selected by The Columbian staff after a review of the previous week’s results. Suggestions for nominees can by made by anyone, but must be received by 6 p.m. Monday for consideration.

Winners of the player-of-the-week may not be nominated again during the regular season, and no athlete may be nominated in consecutive weeks.

Nominees are posted and voting begins each Tuesday and runs through Thursday.

Here are what the other Week 6 nominees accomplished:

BRIDGET BRENNAN, HOCKINSON GIRLS SOCCER: The junior recorded seven goals and one assist in a pair of league wins for the Hawks.

MCKENZIE HALLENBECK, SKYVIEW VOLLEYBALL: The junior had 17 digs, 52 assists, five kills and four aces in two league matches for the Storm.

RUBY LEW, COLUMBIA RIVER SLOWPITCH SOFTBALL: The junior went 11 for 15 with three home runs and 11 RBI in four games as the Rapids won the 3A/2A district title.

LILA MCGEACHY, CAMAS GIRLS SWIMMING: The senior won the 200 free and 500 free as well as on two winning relays at the Kelso Invitational.
