The eastside of the state still dominates slowpitch softball.

Skyview, Columbia and Kelso all lost loser-out games Saturday against teams from the eastside of the state. In both the 4A and 3A/2A, eastside teams were a combined 12-0 against teams from west of the Cascade in this year’s tournament.

Eastmont of East Wenatchee used a 10-run seventh inning to beat Skyview 17-9 in a 4A third-place semifinal Saturday in Yakima.

Devyn Yates went 3 for 4 with a RBI and Kaydree Rowland was 3 for 3 for Skyview. Taylor Lies and Madi Johnson each went 2 for 4 with a double and a RBI.

Hailee Corona went 3 for 4 with a double, home run and three RBI, but it was enough as Columbia River lost to Walla Walla 12-8 in a loser-out game at the 3A/2A state tournament on Saturday.

River took a 7-5 lead with a seven-run third inning.

After Walla Walla moved ahead 8-7 with a three-run fourth, Corona belted a solo home run to tie the game 8-8 in the top of the fifth.

But the Blue Devils won the game with a four-run sixth.

Emma Osborn hit a pair of home runs and Avery Mackin went 3 for 4 with a double, triple and home run, but it wasn’t nearly enough for the Hilanders to keep up as Shadle Park of Spokane  won 26-12 in a 3A/2A loser-out game.

Shadle Park had a pair of nine-run innings to win on the 10-run rule after six innings.
