Prep football roundup: Elijah Andersen rushes for three touchdowns as Woodland pulls away late to beat Mark Morris 49-21

Elijah Andersen rushed for 184 yards and three touchdowns and he threw two touchdown passes as Woodland pulled away late for 49-21 win over Mark Morris.

Woodland took an early 7-0 lead on Andersen’s 8-yard touchdown pass to Rory Hamilton. But Mark Morris led 14-7 after the first quarter on a touchdown pass from Carter Huhta to Deker Bartell and a 1-yard TD run by Kenneth Mullen.

Andersen’s 4-yard TD pass to Chase Hall got Woodland tied 14-14 at halftime. Will Clemens 8-yard touchdown run put Woodland up 21-14 in the third.

Then the Beavers put the game with four consecutive touchdowns in the fourth quarter as Woodland took advantage of seven Mark Morris turnovers.

SETON CATHOLIC 55, STEVENSON 14 — Jacob Williams rushed for 233 yards and six touchdowns to lead the Cougars to a road win.

Quarterback Kolten Gesser threw touchdown passes to Joe Callerame and Ryker Ruelas, who led the Cougars with 111 receiving yards. The Cougars tallied 400 yards of offense in the first half (229 rushing, 171 passing) and led 55-0 at halftime.

Stevenson’s Jude Travinski opened the third quarter with a 72-yard touchdown run and threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Derek White in the fourth.

CAMAS 63, UNION 10 — Jake Davidson threw four touchdown passes to Chase McGee as Camas pulled away.

McGee caught TD passes for 43 and 69 yards in the first half as the Papermakers took a 20-10 lead into halftime.

McGee had TD receptions of 35 and 48 yards in the third quarter as Camas blew the game open with 28 points in the quarter.

Titan Brody had a pair of touchdown runs in the third quarter. Davidson threw five touchdown passes in total.
