PointNorth Consulting announced CEO and President Lisa Keohokalole Schauer is a recipient of the 2024 Woman of Vision Award.

Schauer was selected by the Daily Journal of Commerce Oregon for her community engagement, strategic innovation and fostering an inclusive business environment.

Since acquiring ownership of PointNorth Consulting in 2018, Schauer has transformed the firm into a certified women- and minority-owned small business employing more than 20 professionals specializing in strategic communications, community engagement and public affairs. Under her leadership, the firm has worked on high-profile initiatives such as the Interstate Bridge Replacement program.

She currently chairs the Washington State University Board of Regents and holds leadership roles in various organizations, including the Columbia River Economic Development Council and the Society for Marketing Professional Services’ national DEI committee.

Other business

The city of La Center was recognized at the AWC Risk Management Service Agency (RMSA) Annual Meeting in Chelan for its dedication to proactively managing risks, improving community safety and contributing to lower insurance costs. The city has improved its liability claims experience over the past year.

A program of the Association of Washington Cities, RMSA is a municipal risk insurance pool protecting employees, assets and officials of 108 of Washington’s cities, towns, and special purpose districts from property and liability risks and costs.
