Son charged with murder after father killed by arrow

TACOMA — A 54-year-old man who was killed during an alleged argument with his son has been officially identified, according to the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Yevgeniy Polyashov of Graham died Oct. 18 near the 24700 block of 64th Avenue East from a penetrating arrow wound to the abdomen, the office said in a news release.

Polyashov’s manner of death was listed as a homicide.

Eric Polyashov, 25, was charged Monday with first-degree murder for his father’s death, court records show. He is being held at the Pierce County Jail on $1.5 million bail.
