Letter: Support Harris for Senate

By Tom Lannen, Stevenson
Published: October 24, 2024, 6:00am

Having been closely engaged in local and state politics for the past eight years as an elected official, I appreciate those electeds who are able to work together across party lines to solve the significant problems we all face. Paul Harris has served the citizens of rural and suburban communities well for 15 years in our state House of Representatives. He is committed to those he serves and respected by those he serves with.

Having him as our senator in Olympia is critical in providing a voice for us in our state Senate. His previous experience in the House will prove invaluable for our communities, and his record demonstrates his ability to work across the aisle and bring balance to often contentious issues.

The 17th District he is running to represent has a large rural and suburban constituency with needs that often differ from the large urban areas with dense populations. Paul’s experience and long-standing relationships will serve us well in Olympia. We have a unique opportunity to elect a person who already possesses the skill set and knowledge to be successful for us from Day One.

I encourage you to return Paul Harris to Olympia as our new senator.
