Letter: Return Perez to Congress

By Tim Nickles, Vancouver
Published: October 24, 2024, 6:00am

I watched Joe Kent’s debate with Marie Gluesenkamp Perez on Oct. 15 and was very alarmed by Kent’s claim that Trump’s plan to deport millions of people would lower housing costs. These people don’t have any property to confiscate. The plan sounds like something out Hitler’s Third Reich. Property and houses from deported Jews were distributed to the Nazi Party faithful.

Kent’s support of the Dobbs decision should alarm every woman because Justice Samuel Alito’s decision takes away women’s privacy rights for birth control, medical care after a miscarriage and aborting an ectopic pregnancy.

Also Kent supports Trump’s promise to cut off military aid to Ukraine.

Please do not vote for Joe Kent. Support Marie Perez’s plan to build low-rent housing. It’s a job creator.
