Letter: Christians need to vote

It is sad that millions of Christians registered to vote probably will not. This silence allows nonbelievers to choose America’s direction, its laws. The foundation of all morality comes from God. Our Founding Fathers, many of them Christian, used this truth in securing our rights. To maintain these freedoms in a “We the people” government we must vote.

America’s unique Constitution only works if we keep our moral compass pointed true. We are all sinners, yet God uses Christians and non-Christians alike to gain his will. Until Jesus Christ begins his perfect rule, we must choose the lesser of two evils.

Many of our liberties, including free speech, are on the ballot next month. As an example, some governors closed churches in 2020 during the COVID pandemic but allowed bars and strip clubs to remain open. Some vision huh? If Christians don’t stand up for truth and common sense, who will? Politicians will not.

Don’t withdraw from society, contribute to it. The wasted vote is the one not cast. Atheists vote, why won’t you?
