Yale Bridge will close intermittently on Tuesday so workers can repair a hole in its deck, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

Both directions of state Highway 503 near Milepost 27.8, crossing over Lake Merwin, will have flaggers holding travelers for up to 45 minutes from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to a news release from the state transportation department.

If needed, crews will temporarily reopen the bridge to allow emergency services to cross. Travelers are reminded to slow down as they approach the work zone, follow directional signs and flaggers, have patience and expect delays.
