Letter: Reject ballot initiatives

By Cathryn Chudy, Vancouver
Published: October 21, 2024, 6:00am

Washington voters will do well to recognize deliberate and dangerous manipulation and vote “no” on the four ballot measure initiatives: 2117, 2066, 2124 and 2109. Defend Washington (https://defend-washington.com/) provides essential facts on how passing these initiatives will, in reality, harm our families and local communities.

Please consider the slick deception foisted on us in a misleading campaign largely funded by a hedge-fund financier from California, nothing more than a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Your “no” vote can keep the clock from being turned back on the gains of a decade, ensuring our ongoing well-being and protecting our children’s future.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
