COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Centennial State is home to many supposedly haunted locations, including hotels, cemeteries and entire towns. As such, Colorado offers a variety of ghost tours that explore the state’s history, legends, paranormal occurrences and much more.

Here are eight ghost tours found around Colorado that might leave you with some spooky stories of your own:

1. Twilight Ghost Tour

Explore Denver’s haunted and historic Capitol Hill neighborhood on this tour. On the tour, you’ll hear stories of paranormal activity, murders, scandals and more from your guide as you visit some of Denver’s most haunted sites, including the Crawford Hill Mansion, Poets Row, and the Molly Brown House. You can also add a “boozy twist” and take the all-inclusive tour, which will include one complimentary drink at each bar.

2. Breckenridge Tours — Ghostly Tales

Learn about the darker side of Breckenridge’s Wild West past as you hear stories of the ghosts that remain in the mountain town on this “ghostly tales” tour. The tour even provides ghost-hunting equipment.

3. Denver Haunted Booze and Boos Ghost Walking Tour

Tour Denver’s Lower Downtown neighborhood with a costumed guide on this tour. You’ll visit some of the city’s historical bars, hear spooky ghost stories and purchase your own drinks at the bars as you explore.

4. Aspen’s DarkSide Ghost Tour

Hear stories of Aspen’s darker history from 1879 to the present on this “Ghosts, Murder & Mayhem” tour. The 60-minute evening tour will take you to some of Aspen’s most haunted places and tell their stories, and some “truly darker happenings.”

5. Colorado Springs — Guided Walking Ghost/History Tour

According to Viator, Colorado Springs has a haunted side that “runs as wild as the American West.” The city has more than 150 years of “gun-slinging cowboys, gold-searching miners, rail barons, and plenty of secrets and scandal,” and you’ll experience it all yourself on this participatory tour.

6. Cheesman Park Ghost Tour

As Denver’s first century, Cheesman Park is allegedly one of the most haunted places in Colorado. On this tour, you’ll hear centuries worth of paranormal stories, tales of some of the graves and their dead, and the questionable attempt to remove bodies from the cemetery.

7. Dark Side of Denver Ghost Tours

This tour combines storytelling and history to show you the dark side of the Mile High City. The tour will take you into the “seedy underbelly” of Denver, including Union Station, and the old bars and brothels that used to make up the LoDo neighborhood.

8. The Stanley Hotel tours

Estes Park’s notoriously haunted The Stanley Hotel runs a variety of tours, but one of the most spooky is the night tour, which immerses you in the history of The Stanley after dark. The 60-minute tour will take you through the “dark edges of the hotel” and allow you to experience the hotel’s “spirited tales.” The Shining Tour offers an hourlong theatrical tour experience in which you’ll get to see The Shining Suite.
