Letter: One side is the right side

Just one side.

Just one side believes in a woman’s right to control her own body; that a woman’s body, health and psychological well-being is more important than the potential for conception.

Just one side is concerned about wealth disparity in the U.S. Accumulated wealth is not really the same as earned wealth. And though our system of commerce doesn’t try to differentiate because it isn’t that simple, we do know there is a serious disparity when a CEO who ran a company that lost two aircraft and nearly 800 passengers was “retired” with $65 million. The other side supports Initiative 2109.

Just one side is ready to fight climate change. The current positions are do something and do nothing. The other side supports I-2117.

Only one side is concerned about national security and working with our allies to protect democracy. Whereas the other party cozies up to dictators and killed the border bill in order to have a talking point.

Only one side is dedicated to protecting truth and facts. Every real news source, including the Wall Street Journal (that I get), should be terrified of Project 2025 and the MAGA party winning.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
