Kolten Gesser threw five touchdowns passes as Seton Catholic, including two to Teddy Wieczorek, as Seton Catholic improved to 7-0 with a 45-7 win over King’s Way Christian on Senior Night at Seton Catholic.

King’s Way got the early jump on the Cougars when Sam Somarakis hit Caleb Silva for a 76-yard touchdown pass play, giving the Knights an early 7-0 lead.

But Owen Pitzer’s long return on the ensuing kickoff gave Seton a short field, and the Cougars cashed in with a 17-yard touchdown pass from Gesser to Jacob Williams.

A 29-yard field goal by Dalton Woods and Joe Callerame’s 45-yard touchdown run gave Seton a 17-7 lead after one quarter. The Cougars would stretch that lead to 24-7 by halftime.

Seton put the game away with three third-quarter touchdowns as Gesser threw TD passes for Wieczorek, Ryker Ruelas and Callerame.

Gesser threw for 260 yards and Williams rushed for 106.

Seton will travel to play Stevenson next week, while King’s Way Christian has a pivotal matchup at home against Castle Rock.
