Kolten Gesser threw five touchdowns passes as Seton Catholic, including two to Teddy Wieczorek, as Seton Catholic improved to 7-0 with a 45-7 win over King’s Way Christian on Senior Night at Seton Catholic.
King’s Way got the early jump on the Cougars when Sam Somarakis hit Caleb Silva for a 76-yard touchdown pass play, giving the Knights an early 7-0 lead.
But Owen Pitzer’s long return on the ensuing kickoff gave Seton a short field, and the Cougars cashed in with a 17-yard touchdown pass from Gesser to Jacob Williams.
A 29-yard field goal by Dalton Woods and Joe Callerame’s 45-yard touchdown run gave Seton a 17-7 lead after one quarter. The Cougars would stretch that lead to 24-7 by halftime.
