Letter: Vote in favor of our country

By Joan Kingrey, VANCOUVER

There is so much to vote for in this election at the local, state and national levels. We must vote for candidates who support our Interstate 5 Bridge replacement and measures that support our community and our state.

We must vote for those who fully support women’s rights. We must choose the candidates who tell the truth and respect the rule of law. We have the opportunity to vote for our environment, for education, for children and families, for fairness and for treating one another with respect. We can vote for candidates who will work across the aisle for solutions to the problems that we face.

We must vote for hope and not out of fear. We must vote for those who will protect our right to vote. Each and every one of us must vote, and we must vote for this country and all that we hold dear.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
