Letter: Vote to defend honesty, integrity

Since I care about my family and friends, I would just like to point out that I believe in our Constitution. I believe that the Department of Education is a value to our school system and I also believe in honesty, integrity and good morals.

I feel sad for our men and women who have defended our country and lost their lives. How can one continue to support someone who doesn’t defend or support any of these? Many of you may vote because you have been a Republican all your lives. The Republican Party is no longer what you stand for; even many Republicans aren’t voting Republican because they, too, know that their party is a farce.

When you fill in that ballot, remember that no one knows how you are voting. Think about voting your conscience and trust in your heart. Your candidate said to vote for him and you’ll never have to vote again. Is this really what you want? We don’t need a dictator running our country.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
