Letter: Read more than headline

There was a headline in Tuesday’s Columbian on Page A1, “Analysis: National debt could increase under Harris.” If you read the article, it says the national debt under Kamala Harris could increase by $3.5 trillion. That sounds huge. But if you keep reading it says the debt could increase under Trump by $7.5 trillion, and possibly as much as $15.2 trillion. Talk about huge! If one only reads the headline, one would come away with the idea the national debt will increase under Harris but not under Trump.
