Columbia River Mental Health Services will host a community discussion about breaking the stigma of mental health.
The nonprofit’s Courageous Conversations event, sponsored by NAACP Vancouver, will be Friday, Oct. 25, at Clark College’s Gaiser Hall, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way. Doors open at 12:30 p.m., and the program begins at 1 p.m.
Antonio Salazar-Hobson, author, lawyer and mental health advocate, will share his story of surviving child sex trafficking and sexual abuse.
There will be a book signing and reception at 2 p.m., with snacks and drinks provided. The first 300 guests will also receive a copy of Salazar-Hobson’s book. Tickets are free, but there is a suggested donation of $20. To donate to the event, visit crmhs.org/events/.
