Letter: Support Perez for Congress

By Judy Bumbarger-Enright, VANCOUVER
Published: October 14, 2024, 6:00am

Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez has earned reelection to the House of Representatives. She has supported women’s health care. She helped secure federal funding for the new Interstate 5 Bridge. Rep. Perez works with Republicans to solve problems, while her opponent parrots MAGA talking points, including demonizing immigrants.

Rep. Perez has been endorsed by law enforcement, while her opponent has associated with violent extremists, including the Proud Boys, who helped attack the Capitol on Jan. 6.

Rep. Perez has done what she said she would do — support the right to repair and work to strengthen the trades industries by supporting apprenticeship opportunities.
