The Interstate Bridge Replacement Program released a new batch of visualizations for the planned bridge at Monday’s bi-state legislative committee meeting.
The flyover renderings provide a bird’s-eye view of five replacement bridge options. A sixth visualization looks at proposed interchanges. They are posted on the program’s website at www.interstatebridge.org/nextsteps and on YouTube.
The visualizations are intended to help community members envision different replacement options included in the draft supplemental environmental impact statement, a document that outlines every aspect of the project in fine detail.
The final bridge design is far from settled. The program is taking public comment.
“While no decision has been made on the bridge type or configuration at this time, these digital models will help community members gain a good sense of how program investments would fit into the surrounding areas,” program administrator Greg Johnson said.
