East Vancouver Safeway officially closing in January; site will be a Sprinter van dealership

Rumors about closure started when the property was sold in 2023

Plans are finally afoot to convert east Vancouver’s Safeway into a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van dealership.

Rumors have long swirled in the community that such was the destiny of the grocery store, 13719 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd.

Safeway confirmed last week that its east Vancouver store will be closing in January.
