Battle Ground High School students earn AP Capstone awards

BATTLE GROUND – Five Battle Ground High School students who have earned the Advanced Placement Capstone Diploma. Additionally, three students earned the AP Seminar and Research Certificate during the 2023-24 school year.

The diploma recipients are Brendan Doughty, Addison Fahrney, Sora Tolley, and Marley Wing, who were all members of the Class of 2024, and Hyouju Smith, Class of 2025.

The recipients of the AP Seminar and Research Certificate are Class of 2025 members Ella Galloway, Chase Harshman and Elizabeth McAleer.

To receive an AP Capstone Diploma, students must earn scores of 3 or higher in AP Seminar and AP Research and on four AP exams of their choice. To receive the AP Seminar and Research Certificate, students must earn scores of 3 or higher in AP Seminar and AP Research.

More than 100,000 students in more than 2,500 schools worldwide took part in the capstone program in the 2023-24 academic year.
