Letter: Those who know Trump like Harris

With the election less than a month away, most surveys continue to indicate that inflation and the economy and border security and immigration are the most important issues to the American electorate. Of course, foreign wars and differences on abortion policies are also on the minds of voters.

Yet, a foursome of notable courageous women of conservative Republican persuasion have raised their voices publicly to tell us that our overriding concern should be that Donald Trump is unfit to hold any public office again.

Three of them — Alyssa Farah Griffin, Cassidy Hutchinson and Sarah Matthews — served the former president in capacities that demanded that they be close to Trump on a nearly daily basis. Ms. Matthews resigned her position as Trump’s deputy press secretary as a result of the Jan. 6 insurrection, while Ms. Hutchinson, who was assistant to Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, testified before the House Select Committee on the Jan. 6 uprising about Trump’s minute-by-minute activities on that fateful day. Liz Cheney served as vice chair of that committee.

All of these women, who knew Donald Trump so well, have endorsed Kamala Harris for president.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
