Letter: Rep. Harris is disappointing

By Pat Campbell, Vancouver

To say the least, I’m disappointed in Rep. Paul Harris. His solution to homelessness doesn’t match up well with our national history of stepping up for veterans after World War II with family public housing or the Vietnam refugee resettlement. (I personally benefited from the first and provided social services to the latter.)

The “Move On” solution Paul advocates is the “Armenian Solution” Ataturk used to run those unwanted unbelievers out into the desert to die. That stain runs deep. Ask anyone of Armenian ancestry.
