Letter: Support Perez for Congress

By Darrell Murray, Vancouver
Published: October 9, 2024, 6:00am

Marie Gluesenkamp Perez is a bright, empathetic, and creative leader, not an extremist. She has repeatedly shown her willingness to listen and work toward practical compromises, with flexible rather than rigid thinking. She has focused on small business, vocational education, public safety, roads, bridges and other infrastructure needed for a robust economy.

Ms. Gluesenkamp Perez worked with both parties, co-sponsoring legislation to strengthen border integrity and reduce government debt. She puts good sense above divisive partisanship. She has earned our trust and another term in Congress.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
