Letter: Reject Initiative 2117

Washington ranks among the top states based on qualities such as environment, education, health care, business climate, infrastructure, and so on. This is a solid state. Life is good here. Very good.

Enter one rich person from California with enough big bucks to change everything, to personally benefit, despite hurting the majority of us. That is what Initiative 2117 is. Big Money wants it and wrote it.

Who opposes 2117? Over 500 groups, encompassing agriculture, business, environment, health care, labor, tribes, and more. Pretty signs along streets say yes. We who love our state say NO!

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
