Letter: Trump would be bad for economy

In October 2020, Donald Trump said of Joe Biden, “If he’s elected, the stock market will crash. If he gets in, you will have a depression the likes of which you’ve never seen.” For the record, four years later the stock market is currently at a record high.

Now, Trump says if Kamala Harris is elected we will have “A 1929 style depression.” Last June, 16 Nobel prize-winning economists jointly signed a letter warning that the U.S. and world economy will suffer if Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump wins the U.S. presidential election.

The choice is obvious. Voters need to do their homework and check the facts. And look up what economists say about tariffs.
