Letter: Reject extremism on both sides

Donald Trump is absolutely correct in his assertion that immigrants are hell-bent on destroying our (non-)representative republic.

Foremost among them is the Australian immigrant Rupert Murdoch with his racist, misogynistic, extremist, white nationalist propaganda machine that first attacked Australia, then Britain and now the United States. Without it, there would never have been a Brexit nor a Trump presidency.

Next is South African immigrant Elon Musk, propagandist of conspiracy theories à la a mad scientist as depicted in James Bond movies.

The dystopian times we are living in, where billionaires wield their perverted influence, need pushing back; be it the extreme left with its biology-denying language police or the extreme MAGA right with its attacks on our freedom.

Please, let us get rid of the most dangerous autocratic threat, then we can deal with the ludicrous left. If you value freedom at all, vote for more freedom, not less. Elect Harris to preserve our freedoms, then argue for the sanity of center right/left political discussion.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
