Heart lead singer Ann Wilson is done with chemo and ready to hit the road again in 2025, she announced Tuesday, marking the end of her treatment for an unspecified cancer.
She launched her Instagram video with a cheery, “Hello everyone!” and said she knew people had been concerned after the group canceled the U.K. leg of their Royal Flush tour in May.
The group, known for hits such as “Barracuda” and “Magic Man,” had revealed Wilson’s cancer diagnosis and surgery in July. Wilson said at the time her doctors had ordered her to stand down from touring through the end of this year, but she promised to be back. On Wednesday, she began making good on that promise.
“Now, I know lots of you have been wondering how I’ve been doing. So I thought it’d be best if you heard this straight from me,” said Wilson, 74. “I’m doing absolutely fine now but it’s been to put it mildly, a lot. Chemo is no joke. It takes a lot out of a person. And then that two weeks of waiting around for test results, a form of mental torture.”
