Letter: Civic leaders support Perez

By Lloyd Halverson, CAMAS
Published: October 2, 2024, 6:00am

We support reelecting Marie Gluesenkamp Perez. She represents our communities well — she “shows up” for Southwest Washington.

Our community leadership experiences tell us that a big part of success is “showing up” — listening, being open, seeking common ground, finding solutions, valuing contact, and devoting time to meeting the people of the district. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez does all this as our member of Congress.

We know this as active and involved Vancouver residents (Anne McEnerny-Ogle, Jack Burkman, Pat Jollota, Larry J. Smith, Jim Mains), Camas residents (Nan Henriksen, Steve Hogan, Cassi Marshall, Lloyd Halverson), and a Washougal resident (Molly Coston).

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
