The Clark County Fire Marshal’s lifted the ban on outdoor debris burning in unincorporated Clark County as of Tuesday, according to a press release.

Based on years of data regarding fuel conditions, Clark County issues an outdoor burn ban each year from July 15 to Sept. 30. Depending on the conditions, the ban can start earlier or end later.

The fire marshal’s office urged that everyone remain cautious and responsible when burning outdoors.

Permits are required for burning yard debris and land clearing. Residents are required to have the proper permits, follow permit conditions and exercise caution to prevent accidental fires.

For more information on permit requirements, visit the county’s website at clark.wa.gov/community-development/outdoor-burning.
