Letter: Trump pulls off biggest con

By Linda Saunders, Vancouver
Published: November 30, 2024, 6:00am

I’ve heard it twice now that this election was “in God’s hands.” While I am not a very religious person, I am quite certain it wasn’t God that completed your ballots, and it won’t be “God’s hands” responsible for the outcome due to this election.

I will never understand nor agree with those who can support a convicted felon, easily proven liar, sex abuser, bully, etc., that is so beyond how I was raised. Common sense is certainly a thing of the past; political party seems to be the answer to everything for so many. Regardless of my political preference, I could never vote for the likes of someone who will happily be working to destroy all the good that America stands for. That big smile on his face is because he knows he has achieved the biggest con of this life.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
