Thank you, Mr. Kerr, for the “cookies and milk” recommendation (“Blame candidate for loss,” Our Readers’ Views, Nov. 20). This reminded me that the most loving thing that my mom would do for me whenever I was struggling with bad things was to give me homemade chocolate chip cookies and whole milk.
I want to assure you that a substantial majority of my friends and I have moved on from the recent election. We are taking care of our children, families, friends and loved ones as well as those who are and will become targets for dangerous, various and vacuous silliness over the next four years. As we anticipate that subsequent elections will correct this inhumane and ungodly targeting, we will be engaging in resistance and good works and we will not be consumed by the vortex of gloating, revenge and fear.
So, Mr. Kerr, following the next two elections, I would hope that you have your cookies and milk ready in order to soothe your sadness and blaming. For added enjoyment, you should consider the various woke milks such as soy, almond or pea as well as the numerous hippie/yippie vegan cookies that are gluten- and dairy-free and sweetened with coconut sugar.
