WENATCHEE — Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort opened for the 2024-25 season on Saturday.
It’s the 12th time in 13 years the resort opened on or before Thanksgiving, according to a release. The snowfall and snowmaking team allowed for the opening, the latter of whom “made the most of every opportunity despite challenging weather conditions,” the release stated.
Chairs 1 and 2 were open, with additional chairlifts and terrain expected to open soon, too, conditions permitting.
All resort services were open, including the Chair 5 Pub, Ka-Wham Cafe, and Midway Lodge, with early-season menus.
The Firefighter and Emergency Personnel Appreciation program continues.
From opening day through Dec. 15, firefighters, EMTs, and law enforcement professionals can ski and board for free.
