Letter: Protect health, life in U.S.

After finding out who will be in charge of our country’s second largest money-making machine, after defense, I was not at all surprised that it will be handed to the one person who not only has no credentials for the job except a career in denial, but who has told us that he intends to deny a basic right that every other country in world offers to its citizens as their right. I am talking about health care, of course.

It is not just the fact of the financial aspect of saving lives for profit, it’s the real danger of letting people die because they do not meet a threshold of financial support and are, in effect, euthanized with the country’s consent. Not all citizens that are put to death in America are criminals. In the richest country in the world, we are the only one that refuses to support the first tenet of our constitution — the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness.

Think about it.
