Letter: Trump can never be trusted

By John Patrick, VANCOUVER

Unaccountable Donald Trump isn’t even in office but he is already heading to destroy our country’s government from within with his loyalists and highly unqualified candidates for his Cabinet.

If the nation is going to survive this tyranny, it needs to pay attention and get involved. Like in Watergate times, some strong Republicans who care more about this country than our incoming president/dictator need to join all the Democratic senators to put a stop to these scoundrels.

As usual, Trump can never be trusted. He couldn’t have done a worse job with COVID-19, and now can we just sit back with a national measles outbreak and wait for Mr. Anti-vaccine Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who would most likely remove children from being vaccinated as a requirement for school, which goes totally against the knowledge of the medical community.

And why do you think Trump would want to put a sleazy person like Matt Gaetz in charge of policing the country as attorney general? And why are the Republicans on the ethics committee not wanting to release info on the report about Gaetz? And why would you put Tulsi Gabbard, who spreads Russian propaganda, in charge of national intelligence? And the list goes on. Mr. KGB/Putin is loving all of this.
