Letter: Family home offers sense of safety

I am 45 and live in Glamour adult family home in east Vancouver. This has been the third adult family home I’ve lived in the last two years. All of them were better in ways and worse in ways. lt’s hard to find a place that gives all the care you need.

This place definitely has some issues, but there are three things that make me feel good here. They show a lot of love. I think they really love us. I feel safe. The first place I was at I didn’t, and they stick up for us. So, if we have a need that is not being provided they will try to solve it. There may be better places for me, I don’t know.

At 45, I don’t want to stay in a place like this. I would like to be on my own with a caregiver or something. But God is using me here, and I do appreciate them. They want us all to get better. They want us all to feel better. There will be two rooms opening up as soon as they are inspected, so if anybody is looking for a place.
