Letter: C-Tran is unreliable

By Joshua Heitman, Vancouver

What is going on with C-Tran? This is the second time I’ve had to write a letter to the editor about this. Its schedules are still horrible, and this has been going on for over a year and a half now. It seems like trips are canceled and buses break down every single day.

I have to rely on the bus to get to work during the week, and I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve been screwed over on my commute to work.

If I could afford a car, I wouldn’t ride the bus at all. Because I can’t afford a car right now, I am forced to either ride the bus or just walk, and it’s much faster to walk than it is to ride the bus, within Vancouver at least.

I work in North Portland, and I don’t have much of a choice there. I’ve also had the same issue with TriMet a few times on the other side of the river. I am so fed up with this incompetence. If I were to guess what the C in C-Tran stands for, I’d say it stands for clueless, because it truly is clueless.
