Letter: Election results bring relief

I’ve noticed that most of the letters are lamenting the results of the election, so I thought I’d inject some positivity. True, Donald Trump is not a nice human being, no argument there, but the fact is that we were not voting to choose prom royalty or the class president. It’s a great big bad, dangerous world out there, and we were voting to choose the leader of the free world.

Kamala Harris, who did not have the strength to do even one unscripted press conference during the entirety of the campaign, would have been a babe in the woods, a deer in the headlights, when faced with the coming international crises involving China and Iran. Not to mention the internal self-created crisis of tens of thousands of migrants who have walked virtually unopposed across our borders over the last four years.

So, I say with relief that at least now, in four more years, the radical left may still have a functioning nation left in which to protest which bathroom people can use, etc. You’re welcome.
