Letter: A day of grieving

By Janet Sullivan, Vancouver
Published: November 16, 2024, 6:00am

On this Veterans Day, I grieved for the women and men who gave their lives so that we might enjoy our freedoms and civil rights. I grieved that a small majority of voters chose an unserious, immoral, accused rapist as our president in the recent election when given the chance of electing a serious, moral, intelligent leader to represent our country. I grieved that those hard-earned freedoms and civil rights are in peril.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
