Hockinson and Battle Ground school boards were among the record 37 applicants that received the 2024 Board of Distinction award from the Washington State School Directors’ Association.

“Several boards applied this year that haven’t done so in the past,” said association Executive Director Tricia Lubach. “It’s encouraging to see more boards participating because it helps them connect research-informed best practices to work in their own districts.”

Hockinson was recognized in the small district category; Battle Ground was recognized in the large district category.

Provision Investments recently completed the $1.65 million purchase of the Plainsmen Apartments, a 16-unit multifamily property at 10701 N.E. 59th St. in Vancouver.

Constructed in 1968, the complex is a 12,464-square-foot multifamily complex made up of 750-square-foot two-bedroom units.

The complex is near the intersection of Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard and Covington Road.

Todd VanDomelen and Mike Brown with Portland-based Norris & Stevens represented both the buyer and the seller, Dorothy L. Lund, in the transaction.
