Clark County’s new Office of Public Defense has begun handling felony criminal cases with its first two attorneys on staff.
The first staff attorney began taking cases last month. Another attorney has since started, with a third joining the office this week. A fourth attorney will join in December, Public Defense Director Christopher Swaby said in an email to The Columbian.
