Love Street Playhouse presents “Live in 3, 2, 1” at 126 Loves Ave., Woodland. When Hollywood begins dabbling with television, a famous director and his trio of movie stars come to Radio Corporation of America in New York city to perform the first-ever televised transmission of their Western serial. Things go wrong as personalities clash, the director falls ill and film effects have to be created on the fly. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday as well as Nov. 22, 29, 30, Dec. 5, 6 and 7. Matinee performances are 2 p.m. Sunday and Nov. 23, 24, Dec. 1 and 8. Tickets are $25 at lovestreetplayhouse.com.

Brick by brick

Columbia Play Project presents the Bricktastic brick-building showcase from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Fourth Plain Community Commons, 3101 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., Vancouver. Bricktastic features the elaborate plastic brick creations made by scores of local kids and adults. Spectators can attend for free and vote for their favorites. Guitar heroes

The Historic Trust presents “Stomp and Shout: The Untold Story of Northwest Rock & Roll,” from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Red Cross Building, 605 Barnes St., Vancouver. The Northwest produced Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Queensrÿche and Heart. Before that, it was The Wailers, The Kingsmen and Paul Revere and The Raiders. Peter Blecha, director of the Northwest Music Archives, will share the lesser-known but important bands that laid the foundation for what was to come. The lecture is free; register at thehistorictrust.org.
