Interstate 5 was closed both north and southbound on the bridge due to police activity shortly after noon Thursday,
Traffic was already slow in the area due to an earlier bridge lift but quickly backed up onto Highway 14 west.
There are no confirmed details regarding the police activity. The bridge reopened before 1 p.m.
