A man was struck by a car this morning on Mill Plain Boulevard in east Vancouver and later died, according to the Vancouver Police Department.
About 4:30 a.m. Vancouver police responded to a collision at Mill Plain and Southeast 117th Avenue, east of Interstate 205.
A man had been hit by a vehicle, according to an agency statement. He was transported to a local hospital where he died of his injuries.
The dead man has not been identified.
The driver, who showed no signs of impairment, stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
Traffic in the area may be slowed for several hours by the traffic unit’s investigation. Drivers are asked to take another route if possible.
