Clark County sheriff’s detectives arrested nine people suspected of retail theft, forgery and other felonies Friday at Target in Hazel Dell, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
Detectives recovered about $1,000 in stolen merchandise, weapons and drug paraphernalia during the retail theft operation, which was the agency’s fourth since June. Several of those arrested had multiple outstanding warrants due to prior criminal activity, according to the news release.
Retail thieves often are a part of organized rings that are involved in other criminal activities, including drug distribution, vehicle theft and illegal firearm possession, according to the sheriff’s office.
