Patriots and pie
The North Clark Historical Museum will host its 37th annual community celebration honoring veterans from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Valley Grange #79, 40107 N.E. 221st Ave., Amboy. The event kicks off with an ice cream and pie social; adults are $4 and children are $2. The program begins at 2 p.m. with speaker John Nanny, who retired from the U.S. Marine Corps, followed by music, raffles, drawings and a pie auction. All veterans will receive a free raffle ticket for a patriotic quilt made and donated by the Chelatchie Quilters. Proceeds from the raffle support the museum.
Sounds fishy
Journey Theater presents “Finding Nemo, Jr.” through Nov. 16 at Manor Evangelical Church, 17913 N.E. 72nd Ave., Battle Ground. The story follows Marlin, an anxious clownfish who lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid, Nemo, who longs to explore the world. When Nemo is captured, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. Showtimes are 6 p.m. today and 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, as well as Nov. 15 and 16. Matinees are 2 p.m. Saturday and Nov. 16. Tickets are $7 to $18 at journeytheater.org.

What’s the buzz?
Attend a Mason Bee Workshop from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Camas Public Library, 625 N.E. Fourth Ave., Camas. The presentation will cover pollination, the mason bee life cycle and how to be a successful host. Learn to harvest and clean mason bee cocoons. Bring your own cocoons for harvesting and cleaning, as well as a bowl, colander and lidded container to take cocoons home. Attendees will be eligible to win a mason bee house and accessories.
