Clark County’s nLIGHT, ZoomInfo, Barrett Business Services benefit from booming day on Wall Street

As goes Wall Street, so goes Clark County’s publicly traded companies, which saw stock prices climb Wednesday.

Stocks soared across the board, boosted by a presidential election victory from Donald Trump.

Locally, Barrett Business Services, which trades on the Nasdaq as BBSI, closed Wednesday at $40.37 per share, $2.95 over Tuesday’s close.

Camas technology manufacturer nLIGHT, LASR on the Nasdaq, closed Wednesday at $14.06 per share, up $1.62 over Tuesday.

Vancouver-based software and data company ZoomInfo, which trades on the Nasdaq as ZI, closed Wednesday at $11.84 per share, up 65 cents.

Vancouver biotechnology company Absci, ABSI on the Nasdaq, closed Wednesday at $4.14 per share, 9 cents per share over Tuesday.

Vancouver manufacturer Northwest Pipe, which trades on the Nasdaq as NWPX, closed Wednesday at $53.56, $1.27 per share over Tuesday’s close.

Vancouver-based Riverview Bancorp, the parent company of Riverview Bank, which trades on the Nasdaq as RVSB, closed Wednesday at $4.79 per share, 10 cents per share over Tuesday’s close.

The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that banks stocks, as well as those connected to private prisons, gun manufacturers and cryptocurrency, long with Tesla and Trump Media saw huge gains, while oil prices and solar-energy shares fell.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed Wednesday up 1,508.05 points jumping 3.57 percent to 43,729.93.

The S&P closed up 2.53 percent at 5929.05, and the Nasdaq finished up 2.95 percent at a record 18,983.47.
