Letter: Get behind bridge replacement

By Pete Muellner, Washougal

The letters to the editor fantasizing about a third bridge can probably stop. In the 40 years I’ve lived in Clark County, never once have I heard an Oregonian voice the opinion that a third bridge would enhance their quality of life. There really isn’t a good landing spot, the freeways on the Oregon side east side of Portland are already choked and the west side has some expensive geographical barriers.

Get behind the Interstate Bridge Replacement, the best shot at moderate traffic relief. Or move to Oregon, then you can write different letters to the editor.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
