Letter: Attack leads to disinformation

How convenient. In response to the arson perpetrated in east Vancouver and Portland, Washington Republican Party Chairman Jim Walsh said, “Washington needs to get back to in-person, same-day voting. … Our experiment with 100 percent mail-in voting is not secure, because of the broken chain-of-custody issues inherent in mail-in voting. These arson attacks are proof of that.” He used these crimes to further sow Republican misinformation about the safety of our election system.

What is interesting to me is that the arson did not occur in some Republican stronghold like, say, Yacolt or Battle Ground. Curious.

We are getting used to the modern kind of Republican creating smoke where there is no fire.
