A box-office smash based on a bestselling novel tops the DVD releases for the week of Nov. 5.

“It Ends with Us”: A romantic melodrama about a woman who falls into an abusive relationship and seeks solace with her first love. Starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, who also directs.

“The movie’s heavy themes make it a bit weightier than a summer breeze, but ‘It Ends With Us’ is the big-screen equivalent of a beach read: It’s light on the eyes, easy to digest and simple to walk away from once it’s over,” writes The Detroit News critic Adam Graham in his review.
